Established in 1986 in the USA, Green Star Food Co. LLC (GSFCo.) formed International Export management Co. whose main objective was to export food products from the USA and Europe to the Middle East, under the brand name “Good Food”.

After fourteen years of export experience, GSFCo. started looking into establishing its own food production facilities. Extensive studies led GSFCo. USA and Alimenta Engineering & Contracting Ltd UK to join hands in establishing a food production and canning factory in Ethiopia. The joint venture is believed to have the organization and management necessary to produce quality food products out of Ethiopia.
